Save Humanity To Bring Back The Lost Smile
Many of us, witness several people on the streets, or at home whose eyebrows have lowered down, their eyes have squeezed, their noses shrank and lips raised, mouths wide open and they have forgotten to smile. They are the people who are in dire need of help, and for this purpose, Clara Bartan founded the American Red Cross Movement in 1881.
This March we have come up with the notion of celebrating the Red Cross Month. Taking inspiration from Clara Bartan who went on the battlefield and helped those who were injured, you can simply help those who are near you, who need you, who need your support, who need your time, your energy, who need your blood to stay alive, who need some penny from your pocket money.
There are some ideas you can try out with your loved ones to help bring back the lost smile.
POST-DISASTER MANAGEMENT:
This is the time to offer your support, emotionally and physically. You can be a volunteer for a day or for a week to provide immediate support to families who are badly affected after a house burn, earthquake tremor, flood, or war.
You can contribute your presence count by helping the victims’ families by providing them with the necessary information to recover from the loss. You can offer them food, some compassion, and care in their time of rehabilitation.
BE A SAVER, BE A BLOOD DONOR:
There are thousands of children suffering from thalassemia and all they need is your blood to increase their life span or you can create awareness among people for donating blood for those whose lives are at risk. Apart from blood diseases, there are war-wounded victims and some patients who have met with accidents and their life is swinging upon the life and death thread. As a volunteer, your role will be to engage more people in this good deed and greet them nicely, answer their queries, and help them register into an organization of safe donors.
YOUR DRIVING SKILL CAN BE A SOURCE OF HAPPINESS:
If you are a remarkably bold and fearless driver, then there is a spot waiting for you to be a great humanitarian bridge between the donor and the needy receiver. Be a facilitator, between the donor organization to the local hospitals.
DONATION:
Wrap up some of your clothes and kibbles, and offer them as the finest gift to anyone in need. A gift has no size, no amount but sentimental value for anyone. Donate some relief items, donate your time in counseling someone, the best donation is the moral support that you can offer without any financial boundary restriction. Your time can be very much valuable and meaningful if it is spent at the right place. Donating more creates a feeling of gratitude in you. When you start looking at your life from the lens of
gratitude you wonder about all the accessories you have in life, and how you got them without any hassle whereas others are in a queue to avail themselves of a tiny bit of it. This is life, with every donation you make you get one step closer to gratitude.
BECOME A CPR EXPERT:
Your leisure time can turn up into saving someone’s life and death critical moment. Learn CPR and become a certified CPR Expert and save lives. One who gives CPR becomes a rescuer the moment he starts compressing the chest, listens up to the airway, and helps in rescuing the breathing process. A CPR expert is a revive expert, as he can bring back someone’s lost health
conditions and make them feel strong again. CPR can be learned by anyone to be prepared for an unexpected medical emergency. You can be someone’s source of hope someday.
RED CROSS A SAVING SIGN:
The bright red plus sign, visible from the far end is a sign of an emergency, depicting first aid assistance, creating impartiality for all. The Red Cross Agency has been working globally to help those who were wounded on the battlefield were severely affected by natural disasters or came under destruction by forest fires and famine during the period Great Depression. The volunteers of the Red Cross agency have proven to work under the darkest hours. The agency has introduced many programs like
Nursing
Water Safety
Public Health
Hospital services
Apart from this they have also managed to provide ambulance services and recruited many nurses for the army and navy corps. They prepared packages for the prisoners of war, which is a great gesture to show empathy and sympathy on the other hand.
RED CROSS GIVING DAY:
Red Cross Giving Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, 23 rd of March, 2023. This day is marked as the recognition day at the Red cross Agency where donors, volunteers, and life-saving skills supporters, each step recognized and appreciated. The agency shares its success stories and its goal for the respective year, as this year they have aimed to unite 30,000 supporters to assist families in the destitute.
HOW YOU CAN BE A PART OF THE GIVING DAY:
Donate generously, your financial assistance is transformed into someone’s shelter, food, or basic amenity. Your donation turns into a great humanitarian aid. Other than this you can create awareness among people by spreading your word. Your passion to help can save a life
