National Nutritional Month

Want to grow with some healthy habits so why not follow a nutritional plan? Every year nutritional professionals celebrate the month of March as National Nutritional month, this month gives you the freedom for making the right food choices, back in 1973 Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics took this initiative.

Are you in a hurry and looking for some healthy tips for your infant that has just crossed the six months duration so here is what you should look for before offering your infant anything;

SIGNS TO LOOK OVER:

 Did he hold the toy and brought it near to his mouth himself?

 Did he grasp control both over his neck and head?
 Did he sit back without your support?

If yes. Then Wohoo Congratulations! It’s time to start feeding your infant something solid that he can swallow and doesn’t spit out of his mouth. The first food you should offer should hold a variety of animal foods (dairy, eggs, poultry, meat, and fisheries) fresh vegetables, and fruits. The texture of the first food should be liquid and soft such as you can offer mashed potatoes, steamed-mashed apples, or oatmeal porridges, but the fruits should be nicely blended. The baby will accept 2-3 spoonfuls of the
food that you will offer once a day as his stomach is tiny, as the baby grows old the stomach enlarges too and the amount of food intake increases over time, so you just need to give a half cup of soft liquid foods thrice a day and make sure you avoid honey till one-year duration. Now as the baby enters into 9-11 months’ duration just offer soft food, chopped, into small chunks, and make sure it isn’t completely blended.

THE TODDLERS PHASE:

The toddlers should now be introduced to grains, oatmeal, brown bread, rice, and nuts, and with this, make sure he starts consuming fat-free dairy milk. With a healthy diet, there comes walking, riding, sports, and exercising tasks on the platter as well.
